DEPARTURE BAY

This area in named after beautiful Departure Bay which is the main BC Ferries entry into Nanaimo. The borders of Departure Bay are sprawled with Nanaimo Golf Club which has undergone some major facelifts recently. There are many ocean view and waterfront homes in this area with a good mix of price ranges making it a very desirable area to be, especially in the summer with the International Bathtub Races. You are only a short drive to downtown along a scenic oceanview corridor. There are many interesting homes architecturally designed atop of rocky bluffs. There is a vast of sunny southern exposure in this area which is a top reason for its popularity.
