CHASE RIVER
This is a very active residential development area right now with many new subdivisions popping up. People are enjoying the country feel you get in Chase River and the pocket of sun in the Cinnabar Valley. Being the artery to the Nanaimo River, there tends to be a good amount of traffic is the summer. The housing is again a good mix of newer homes and homes built in the late 70s/early 80s. You will be able to find nice larger homes on a little bigger lots at more affordable prices. As with most places in Nanaimo, it is close to downtown – about a 10 minute drive – and a quick exit on the highway south to Victoria.
